Wage of the employee must not be lower than the common or area minimum wage rate which is published by the Government.
The common minimum wage rate shall be applied for employees working for State sectors such as one member limited liability enterprises with the sole State owner, State agencies or armed forces and for the basic to calculate deductions (i.e. social insurance premium) and entitlements which are calculated based on the common minimum wage rate.
The area minimum wage rates (i.e. Area I, II, III and IV) shall be applied to local owned enterprises, foreign owned enterprises, international or foreign organizations and individuals recruiting employees other than State sectors which operate in such Areas as mentioned above. In general, the area minium wage rates include 04 levels which are suitable for the difficulties of the locations where enterprises, organizations, and individuals locate offices there.
