Pursuant to the LCV, working hours of an employee shall not exceed 08 hours per day OR 48 hours per week (from 1 May 2013, working hours of an employee shall not exceed 08 hours per day AND 48 hours per week). The employer shall have the right to determine the working hours on a daily or a weekly basis provided that the employees are notified in advance.

The employer and the employee may agree on additional working hours provided that the total number of additional hours is not more than 04 hours a day, 200 hours a year, and the maximum will be 300 hours a year to be applied in a number of statutory sectors and special cases.
