Pursuant to the LCV, the employer and the employee shall agree on a job for probation, probation duration, and the rights and obligations of the parties in the probation contract. The probationary duration is maximum 60 days in respect of works which require specialized or highly technical skills at college level or higher or maximum 30 days in respect of in respect of works which require skills at secondary level and in respect of technicians and trade persons or maximum 06 days in respect of other work. Please note probation is not required for seasonal jobs from 1 May 2013.

The salary payable to the employee during the probationary duration shall be at least 85% of the salary of the offered job.
